{RING,RING,RING}
A cell phone ring echoes through the halls of Matthaei.
{RING, RING, BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ}
The sound changed but it remained to be the only sound heard in the building besides the mere carnage going on in the gym. The students were monsters. Their eyes only looked up for food, but with no one leaving or coming into the gym they, the students, were their only food source, which brought Roddrick’s army to a fight where only the strong survives. Students formed groups, almost like a wolf pack amongst each other.
Four students walked up to an officer guarding the door closest to Roddrick
“Hey” one student said to the cop “We’re looking for Rod? A couple fellas over there told me this was the door closest to him.”
“Nobody sees Roddrick until Roddrick wants to see them. Now go back, get off his dick and play nice”
“hmm that sounds simple. hMmMmMm…let me think for a minute …nah that doesn’t seem like something I would want to do.” His comrades behind him nod in agreement.
The cop pulls out his gun “Look I’m gonna give you ‘till the count off 3 to…”
“No Fuck that” the student shouted “What are you going to do pig. You fucking pig what are you gonna do”
The student goes for the gun. The cop pushes the student back and clocks his gun.
“Now if you either call me a fucking ‘Pig’ or touch this handle, I’ll make sure the only dick you’ll be on is the devil’s. NOW GET BACK”
“Does that make you happy?’ the student asks “pushing us around, keeping us locked in here like some kind of monsters. Did you like that cop, when you pushed me?” the student pushes the cop. His head bangs against the door. The cop reacts quickly and points the gun at the student’s head
“BACK THE FUCK UP I AM NOT FUCKING WITH YOU”
The student smiles, gives his friends a wink then turns back and walks towards the cop putting the gun on his forehead. He smiled at the cop. His smile was remarkably like another’s. It was like Roddrick’s.
“Why don’t you just calm down. Have a Venom or two and let me and my boys pass through. I mean come on we got students pissing in corners for Christ sake [he laughs] I think I can get a little bit of order to this situation. [He sees the cop isn’t budging] Look I used to be the President of Student Council, let me talk to him.”
The cop lowers his voice but not his gun “sorry kid no one sees Rod”
The student sighs, one of his friends behind him grabs his arm. “Come on Jake lets head back we’ll find another way”
The student grabs Jake and he starts to go with them until he says, “No, I think I wanna go this way”
Jake turns around and grabs the cop by the neck. The cop fires his gun.
[Bang]
The bullet barely misses Jake’s head. In fact it grazes him leaving a wound on his cheek.
Jake tightens his grip on the cop’s neck and grabs his hand holding the gun. The cop was strong but Jake was stronger. The cop strained to get a breath. He pulls the trigger again and again. [Bang Bang]
Other cops ran over towards Jake. His friends were large, bigger than the average student. They surrounded Jake and put their fists up for protection.
“ONE ATTACKING MILLER AT SOUTH ENTRANCE BACK UP NEEDED” an officer reports on the radio. Another cop pulls his gun out.
“I CANT GET A GOOD SHOT I MIGHT HIT HIM. SOMEONE GET IN THERE”
A cop jumps on one of Jake’s friends but gets smashed against the wall. Another cop pulls out and attempts to taser another of his friends but the student grabs his wrists and tosses the cops toward the few metal chairs still standing.
Jake continued to smile as he watched the life float out of the cop’s eyes. He drops him.
“Only the strong should serve Rod” he puts his hand on the handle as he looks down at the dead cop and whispers “you know that now fucking pig”.
As the Venom slowly took over the student’s lives Rod’s Army’s number grew smaller. There were only roughly 50 to 60 kids left. There was blood covering the room from the ceiling to the floor and reeked with the smell.
[BUZZ,BUZZZ,BUZZZZZ]
Joe attempted to get some sleep but the idea of being eaten like fried chicken when he slept didn’t sit well with him. He sat down on the floor and put his hand in his pocket pulling out a smashed Twinkie. Joe opened the package and smiled.
“What I wouldn’t do for a Twinkie? He said as he shoves the broken Twinkie in his mouth letting crumbs and cream get in his white beard.
[BUZZZZZ,BUZZZZ,BUZZ]
Joe looked up at the sound and sighs
“What the hell is that.” He gets up and puts his ear next to the medical room door.
[BUZZZ,BUZZZ,BUZZ] the noise was coming from the room
Joe enters the room
“What the hell is that noise” he looks on the counter. Roddrick’s phone sat there buzzing away. “Well damn it Rod aren’t you gonna answer the damn thing?”
Joe goes to grab it
“Don’t answer that phone” Roddrick says in a very calm voice
Roddrick and Justin were sitting in metal folding chairs backwards staring at the wall.
“Why not?” Joe asks
“I just don’t want to answer it ok? Is that cool with you?”
“Well if you don’t wanna answer it why don’t you put it on silent?”
“Because it doesn’t have a silent feature it only goes to vibrate.”
“What kind of a phone doesn’t have a silent feature, that’s almost as asinine as not have texting.” Justin added
“Doesn’t have that either” Roddrick says
“What? That’s the stupidest shit I have ever heard, my old room mate didn’t have text messaging either. That’s simple shit everyone has it” Justin says
“I don’t see why I need it who would I text” Roddrick asks
“You can start by whoever is calling you” Joe added as he grabs a chair from the hallway and sits down.”
“That’s stupid as hell Joe, who do you think is calling me? I don’t have any friends beside you.”
“Hey me and you cool man” Justin says “I feel like slapping a bitch upside her face. [he gets up] just walking up to her and going ‘Bitch where’s my money”
He reenacts slapping someone with his hand. Roddrick and Joe give a laugh.
“I like this kid” Roddrick says looking at Joe “you know Justin here is a DJ”
“DJ what’s that?” Joe asks
“a DJ? Disk Jockey Joe, jeez and I thought I was the older brother”
“Wait a minute you’re his older brother?”
“Yeah I’m a Vampire kid try to keep up”
Joe yawns big “Yeah well Vampires don’t got shit on…”
Roddrick interrupts him “uh I don’t think we should mention such things just yet”
“Secrets don’t make friends, man” Justin says
“You are right they can’t kill them”
“Ahh we get the point Roddrick” Joe says “what’s his deal?” Joe points to the wall
Jayme was hanging upside down his arms and his legs were pierced through his skin and to the wall with scalpels. It was the only thing holding him up. His neck was sliced and blood dripping out of his neck and dripping into a metal bowl.
“Well that’s the problem?” Roddrick says as he puts his head on the back of the seat.
“What’s the problem?” Joe asks
“He ain’t dead yet?” Justin and Roddrick say together
[BUZZZ,BUZZZ,BUZZZ]
“you should get that you know. Can’t keep running away from your problems.” Joe says as he licks the crumbs off of his hands.
“Alright fine everyone out” Roddrick said as he gets up and walks toward the phone. He starts to think about what he would tell the Dean. He wondered what he was really calling about. His nerves were high but it was strange. The only thing that the vampire is truly afraid of is the Dean
“Hel-hello” Roddrick says with a stutter
Instantly yells are heard from speaker of the phone
“Yes sir….yes….sorry I was working with my….um…people...I would say”
He silently motions for Joe and Justin to leave the room. They follow orders
“um..no..I did not know you called that many time…oh it was that many times. Well um…sir how can I help you?…news, What news? What Channel?”
“Every Channel you nitwit! 2,4,6,8...”
“Who do you appreciate?” Roddrick says with a nervous laugh
“Now’s not the fucking time kid. I am currently on a plane to Tokyo. You know how long of a flight that is!” the Dean’s yells could be heard through the phone.
“um…no sure I’m not sure. 13 maybe 14?”
“18 hours Roddrick. Now I’m expecting a pleasant trip and a very large check should be waiting for me by the time I get back. Now do you know how I can lose that very large check?”
“um… if they can tie you somehow to the destruction of the school?”
“Yes Roddrick that’s correct. Now I’m getting all types of emails saying that Wayne State police have gone Missing in Action. Not a clue to be found. That looks very suspicious Roddrick very guilty.”
“I’m sorry sir it was you who told me to use the police I..”
“Are you telling me you can not handle the task that you so promised me would be accomplished?”
“No sir I can handle it….um what would you suggest sir”
“I don’t fucking know Roddrick how about sending some cops to do patrol or something. Just make it look like everything is normal until night fall you twat. When I get back if there is even a whisper of Wayne State I’ll put you back in your cage and your bitch of a girlfriend too. I have done it before I can do it again. Do you hear me Roddrick?”
“Yes sir it will be taken care off. Hey um… do you mind if you call me Rod I like that name better?”
“I’m not calling you fucking Rod you jellybean twat now finish the job.” The Dean hangs up the phone.
[Knock, knock, knock]
“Who is it!?!” Roddrick says with anger
“It’s me sir Officer Kelly”
“Alright alright come in” Officer Kelly enters with Jake. His hands are cuffed behind his back “Now what is this”
“This student killed a cop. Broke out of the gym. He said he has something to say to you.
“What do you want” Roddrick says to Jake
“Sir I am here to serve you. We all are here to sever you. My name is Jake sir and I wish to be your right hand man”
“My brother is my Right hand man”
“Well let me be your left” Roddrick laughs. Kelly laughs as well “I can help get order in this place. I used to be President of Student Council.”
Roddrick takes a moment to think then looks back at Kelly and Jake “ Let him go”
Kelly un-cuffs him and lets him go.
“Kelly do me a favor and go around campus in a cop car. How about….get any venom left and drop it off places people go. That’s a good idea I can kill 2 birds with one stone.”
Kelly leaves
“So Jake tell me do you know a Pike by the name of Marcus”
Jake smiles
“Why yes sir I do”

“There you go sonny” Albert says with a smile “you should be all back to normal. How do you feel?”
Robert blinks his eyes and looks around the room.
Five faces stared back at him: Chuk, Zack, Gutterson, Danny, and an old Asian man who looked about fifty something years old. He tried looking past his friends to see what room he was in. The walls were blue. Paper was scattered on lab tables. There were 3 aquarium looking tanks; one had a huge pale white fish or creature in it. Robert couldn’t be sure it was too far away. Robert’s eyes darted around. He was reluctant to answer Albert’s question…
“Hey kid you are alright?” Albert asked again.
Robert opened and closed his mouth as if looking to find the words.
“Yup, he’s dead” Chuk said
“Chuk really? You really feel now is the time to joke?” Danny asks
“Yes Danny I do. Robert is lying on the bed gasping like a fish this is funnier than Charlie freakin’ out that his legs don’t work. The world is gonna end and you really don’t think this is a time to joke.”
“No Chuk I just think you should have some respect for your brother ok?”
“Yeah Chuk” Gutterson adds
“Gutterson please I don’t need your weakness right now”
“I’m just saying that I agree with him, Chuk. Now’s not the time to joke.”
Chuk gives a fake laugh
“Gutterson, really if not now then when. When is the time? Could it be after some-I don’t know-Life threatening event ‘cus we just had one”
“Dude that wasn’t life-threatening at all. That Roddrick dude couldn’t even keep up with me.”
“Quit bragging he still managed to get Jayme ok? So it still isn’t the time to joke….no matter how stupid Robert looks.”
“Wha…what the fuck?” Robert finally speaks
“Ah the boy speaks. Now move out of my way move out of my way” Albert pushes the boys away from Robert. “Robert drink some of this Coffee it will help get that taste of blood out of your mouth.”
He hands Robert a cup of coffee. Robert goes to reach it but his hand stops just short of the cup. He looks down. His hands were chained to the table that he laid on
“woops sorry about that. You understand we just couldn’t let someone under Roddrick’s control to just be free. One could kill you know”
“Who is Roddrick? And where are we?” Robert pulls at the chains “Duuuude this is not cool right now what’s going on?”
“Robert man just chill” Chuk says as he pulls out another can of venom out of his pocket.
“I’ve got it Rob I’ve got it” Albert says as he unlocks the chains. “it seems I have some explaining to do. I have already explained it to your friends they are a very colorful bunch I must say.”
After un-cuffing Robert who he sits up rubbing his wrist, Albert takes a deep breath. He was now wearing clean clothes with a new medical lab coat on.
“Ok Rob can I call you Rob? [Robert nods] My name is Dr. Albert King. I am the head of the Biological Science department and for the last 10 years I have been working a very secretive multi million dollar experiment.”
“So big” Danny adds. “Yeah really big like breaking da bank big” Gutterson adds
“I only received such a grant from the dean when I met a very very special lady. Her name was Anna. Charlie has already had the pleasure of meeting her” Albert continues
“Yeah and she is fuckin’ hot. I wanna bang the shit out of her” Charlie comes into the lab wearing a lap coat like Albert and sitting in a wheel chair. “Hey Robbie’s up. Look Robert I’m handicapped.” Charlie wheels around the room doing wheelies and tricks and laughing the entire time.
“Only Charlie could fine humor in being a paralyzed.
“It shouldn’t last long. It wasn’t even suppose to last this long.” Albert looks at his clock. It was 5:22pm. “I thought I only gave him a mild dose it seems I miscalculated.”
“You do that a lot don’t you Doc”
“Yes, yes it appears I do. Now what was I doing damn it. There was coffee, then Charlie…ah…Rob. I’m sorry. Like I was saying, my experiments gain their budget because I met a very beautiful and unique woman. She was a vampire” Robert gives him a look like he is crazy “Yes Rob Vampires are real. Rare as hell but real” Albert goes and pours himself a cup of joe. “They are real and they are here. And with my experiments they have the power to take over the world. Anna is with your friend um…what was his name?…Marcus. Anna is with Marcus and he has been turned as well as Charlie and Jayme who has been captured by Roddrick, another vampire and his brother.”
The brothers looked at Robert’s confused face. He turns to Gutterson
“What’s this guy talking about” Robert whispers
“Dude, shit is going down and we gotta save people. We gotta save the world” Gutterson says
Chuk walks over to Robert laughing “Yeah if you really think we can do anything you are way out your league. We got up to a thousand people under this dude’s freakin’ control, we have no weapons let alone skill for this mission, and Jayme is probably already dead.”
“Chuk that was your fault. You let Jayme go. What kinda brother are you?” Zach added as he joined the conversation.
“Ha, I’d like to see you carry two full grown ass men anywhere.”
Zach gets in his face
“Yeah well I wouldn’t have just let my brother go”
“Get real Zach you were there too, so in any intellectual’s mind you let him go too” Chuk says with anger now behind his voice.
“Enough stop it. Idiots. Now I understand you are all stressed and this may all come as a shock but vampires are DANGEROUS. Just one can destroy the lives of thousands and I have given him a gift to destroy the world.” Albert wipes his face. “The future of humans rests with Anna, Marcus and us
“Where is Anna” Gutterson asks
“I suspect Forest Arms Apartments”
“No one lives in forest arms Apartments” Zach says “that whole building got burned down like 2 years ago”
“Yes I am well aware of what happened there” Albert says. “I’m sure I know much more then you do.”
Danny pulls out his phone. “This is by far the craziest shit I have ever been too…hello…hey…where are you….what are you doing at the pike house?”
Everyone turns to Danny. Albert goes over to him
“Danny, Danny, son who are you calling? If they are here at Wayne you have no idea, I have no idea, if they are infected. Who knows how much power Roddrick has over them now.”
Danny puts his hand over the receiver “hey it’s cool it’s Casey she is at the pike house”
“What’s going on over there?” Robert asks
“Apparently some crazy shit…(he goes back to the phone) hello what happened now?….James did what?…who else is there….Zombies...hold on I’m coming over right now.” Danny hangs up the phone and looks back at the group. There was a very visible smile that he was trying to hold back
“Well what happen” Gutterson, Zach, Chuk and Charlie say together
“Apparently James shot 3 Zombie cops Brandi is freakin’ out, and Brian R is tied to a chair.”
“That sounds very serious why are you smiling?” Albert asked
“Because you know how much I wanted to kill a Zombie? Quick do you have a machete?”
Some of the guys laugh Albert just nods his head. Then a thought pops in his head “wait would Marcus want to go to the pike house”
“yeah he lives there”
“ok then. Robert up, Charlie is moving sort of. Let’s head to the pike house fellas”
“Wait I didn’t learn all about the vampires”
“Pick it up on the back run Rob the sun is falling and time is behind us.” Albert grabs a cane hanging on the wall and exits the lab. The boys follow not to far behind.

“AHHHHH. Oh my God”
“Brandi be cool I can explain this” James says to her
Brandi shakes her head back and forth “James What the fuck”
“It’s cool be cool I can explain”
“James, what the fuck” Brandi starts to sound just like his mother
“ok they….those are zombies”
“Are you joking? This is a joke. [she turns to Audrey] what the fuck? ”
“I don’t think they are joking look at their faces.”
James, Anthony, Cam, and Brian each had their own look of horror on their face.
“I’m going to go” Brandi says “clearly this [she uses her hands to point towards the dead cops] needs to be fixed.”
Brandi turns to exit.
“Wait Brandi you can’t go out there” Cam says
“Why I was just out there?”
“Cause we…[he looks back at Anthony and Cam] Cause James thinks there are Zombies out there”
“Really just me…thanks, you were fuckin backing me up 5 minutes ago”
“yeah but that was in the heat of the moment, man. Now it just looks like you’re a killer.”
“Thanks, some kinda of brother you are. Brandi listen to me these cops attacked us and tried to eat us like we were food. Brian, Brian got fuckin’ bit and…”
“Oh My God look he has a gun”
“Well I’m good, peace, here are your damn cupcakes” Brandi hands James the cupcakes and leaves in anger.
“I think she is mad” Anthony says
“What gave you the hint” Cam says
Audrey steps over the dead cops and goes into the social room.
“woah there’s another one, you guys have been busy” she says
“James has been busy ok he did this. I want no blame for this” Cam says
“I should shoot you. I really want to shoot you right now. Here” he hands Cam the cupcakes and heads outside.
“Brandi wait!”
“No James. You guys are in serious shit right now”
“Brandi I just gave you a reasonable answer”
“SHOOTING COPS IN THE HEAD BECAUSE YOU THINK THEY ARE ZOMBIES IS NOT A REASONABLE ANSWER” with a very motherly tone.
Casey was walking down Cass corridor and had heard Brandi’s motherly screams. She came over to give comfort.
“Hey what’s wrong?” she said
“what’s wrong!” Brandi eyes popped out “What’s wrong is that James apparently thinks I’m a big joke and..”
“I don’t think that at all. Did I say that at all?”
“NO you said Zombies are at the pike house. [she turns to Casey] James thinks Zombies attacked him.”
“They did attack me Casey don’t believe her she is crazy”
“Oh I’m crazy now…thanks”
Casey’s phone rings
“wait just hold on a sec its Danny….hello…hi babe…some crazy shit is going on over here….”
“James I should call the cops on you myself” Brandi says
“Why that will just bring more zombies here. Oh… you know what maybe you should. Then you would believe me”
Casey walks away from the two arguing so she can talk to Danny
“yeah you should get over here Brandi is upset about something and James is talking about killing Zombies.”
Brandi walks away from the pike house
“James you are going to be in a shit storm of trouble. I am going to be in a shit storm of trouble if I don’t get out of here.”
“Ok baby I’ll see you soon” Casey hangs up the phone
“Brandi, fine then go but when Zombies eat you I will not be there to say I told you so and save your ass”
“ZOMBIES ARNT REAL” Brandi screams at him
CRASH
Out of nowhere Cam gets thrown out of the Social room window of the pike house. Seconds later Anthony gets thrown out as well. Jake walked over to Brian.
“Where’s Marcus at? I know a friend who is looking for him”
“See Brandi, I told you so” James said as he flicks off the safety of his 45 pistol.
“um can someone please explain to me what is going on?” Casey asks
“Long story Case. But I’ll bet my money maker that he is a Zombie.” James says
He points he gun up and aims towards Jake. He pulls the trigger, Click,click,click
“Damn it, that was gonna be so epic.”
He panics with the others as they run toward the house. Anthony is the first to reach the door followed closely by Cam.
“dude what the fuck, was that Jake?” Cam asks Anthony
Anthony opens the front door “yeah I think it was” Anthony walks up to Jake
“Hey, buddy that was a nice little throw back there now how about you get out of my house.”
“Anthony no man that dude is strong. We should think of like a plan or something”
Cam’s words went unheard as Anthony jumped on the back of Jake.
AHHHHHH Oh My God Oh My God
Audrey screams as Anthony flies off of Jake.
“What the fuck Brian what the fuck?”
Brian sat in a chair still tied up.
“What the fuck?!?! Why the fuck haven’t you united me yet.”
“Oh sorry sorry”
Audrey unties him. As soon as he gets loose he looks for any weapon he can find. He thought of the chair then he looked at the smythe trophy but settled on a baseball bat. He chased after Jake who was walking up the stairs to Marcus’s room. Anthony and Cam were in the Foyer.
“That’s not going to work” Anthony says
“Yeah we need a plan” Cam says as James enters the house. James looks around.
“Is that dude still around?”
“Yeah he just went upstairs”
“Shit” James puts his hands in his pockets. [keys] he pulled the keys out of his pocket. “I have Cop keys” he turns to Cam and Anthony “I have cop keys”
“What’s that mean?”
James runs outside to the cop car outside of the house. Brandi and Casey stood out next to it looking worried. “Is it zombies? James what’s going on I’m kinda scared”
“Hold this” He hands her the 45 and heads for the trunk of the car. He opens the trunk.” Oh my god Cameron look at this”
Anthony and Cam come over and look in the trunk”
“Oh my god” they say together
They both grab a gun. Anthony grabbed the Mossberg model 500 12 gauge shotgun and Cam grabbed the Famas (stands for the Fusil d’Assaut de la Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Etienne or the Assault rifle of the Saint-Etienne’s weapon factory and it is also the Service rifle of the French military.)
“Sweet” James, Cam, and Anthony say together
Brandi looks at Casey “Boys” they say together
Cam and Anthony run into the house
“You aren’t going with them” Casey asked James
“No, no I think I’ve done enough damage I’ll let the kids play.”
AHHHHHH
Cam and Anthony scream as they enter the house. They run up the stairs head to head. They reach the top and look both ways. There was a path to the rooms on the left and one to the right.
“Where do you think he is?”
“Not sure”
“WHERE”S MARCUS?” Jake screams from Marcus’s room
Anthony and Cam run towards Marcus’s room. Anthony blows the door open with his shotgun
BOOM
Cam put his gun up to shoot.
“Wait you might shoot Brian”
Brian swings his bat hitting Jake square in the head. Jake falls on the ground but gets back up. “Where’s Marcus at?”
“Dude fuck you” Brian says and hits him in the back knocking him on the ground again
“Wrong answer dick face” Jake says as he gets up. Brian swings the bat but this time Jake catches it. Brian tries to pull it back but Jake is too strong
“Brian move out of the way so I can shoot him”
“He can’t man just shoot when you can” Anthony says
Jake yanks the bat so hard that Brian flies towards him. Jake grabs him and bites him on the shoulder”
ARGGGHHHHHHHH
Brian screams
“BRIAN!!!” Cam and Anthony scream
Cam shoots his Famas hitting Jake right between the eyes. Brian falls down and grabs his shoulder with his good hand.
Cam opens fire on Jake
Bam,Bam,Bam,bam,bam,bam,ba
Anthony gets close and fires his shotgun
Boom
Jake flies out of the Balcony window and lands on the front yard next to the flagpole.
“Damn” James looks at Brandi “Damn” he walks over to Jake and examines him but stays at a distance. He gets up nods his head to Brandi smiling. “Zombie… Zombie….”
“Actual I would say he is a vampire”
James turns around
“Hello young man my name is Dr. Albert King”
